Tusk v0.7.0 Release Notes
This release brings a significant visual refresh across the entire app, a new offload workflow, and several reliability fixes that prevent false alarms when your drives sleep or disconnect.
---
✨ New Features
Offload workflow — You can now offload footage directly from within Tusk, with a more reliable ingest process backing it up.
"Am I safe?" dashboard — A new hero section on the project page gives you an at-a-glance answer to the question that matters most.
First-run & project onboarding — New users and new projects now get a guided setup experience to get you protected faster.
---
🎨 Improvements
Refreshed visual design — A full UI overhaul lands in this release: updated typography, a cohesive color and status token system, and a consistent visual language across all screens.
Smoother loading states — New animations and loading skeletons mean the app feels more responsive while data is on its way.
Unified progress view — The ingest pipeline now shows a single, consistent progress UI so it's always clear what Tusk is doing with your footage.
Create project polish — The project creation flow has been refined with improved layout, copy, and review screens.

🐛 Fixes
No more false "file deleted" alerts — Tusk no longer reports files as deleted when a connected drive goes to sleep or is unmounted by macOS.
Drive unmount stability — Spurious
/Volumesunmount events no longer interfere with Tusk's backup allowlist, preventing unnecessary interruptions to your backup monitoring.
